I spent most of 2.5 days completing this piece. This includes searching through hundreds of stock photos and the hours needed to cut them out. And finding that my original idea would not work and then starting over. I originally wanted the fairy to ride the swan and I searched through hundreds of swan and women photos trying to find ones that would work together. The result was not something I was happy with so I got the idea of just having the fairy sit on a waterlily leaf after seeing these huge leaves in some stock photos. This swan is just gorgeous and adds to the magical quality of the piece as well as likewise the truly enchanting background photo does. I am sure I will be revisiting this piece later and improving it. I could never have created this piece without the awesome resources below. A huge thank you to all who provide stock for artists to use. Software: Created in Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. They do have a freebies section. This site has awesome fantasy tubes. The bullfrog: =Superior-Stock [link] The butterflies: These came with Paint Shop Pro The gold frame: Alll I know is that it is called jd-mask66. I do not know from which website it came but I will look into this. Have had it for several years. Phew, I hope I have not missed anything. Please note, I did use a plug-in to create the oil painting effect on my photomanipulation. I do not have a graphics tablet and my skill for digital painting is limited to simple images such as the candle in my gallery. |
