KAORI SAKURA ICON THEME ALL CONTROL PANEL ITEMS ICONS

Please note that the four large icon images, the cherry blossom branch and the pink frame are just decorative accents for the screenshot of the icons of the control panel, all items view, and are not actually on my control panel in that really large size.

Compiling this icon theme has been truly a labor of love. It took countless hours over a couple weeks for me to finish. The credit for these icons goes entirely to their artists who created them and not me. The talent of the icon artists truly amazes me. My mission was to put together a complete Windows 7 icon theme of Japanese and Chinese icons.

Customizing the default Windows 7 icon in the All Items Control Panel View by far took the longest. I changed around 50 just on this section alone. Several I even had to edit the registry to change since IconPackager, the main program I used to change the default Windows 7 icons, did not have the option of changing several of them. So I searched for a method to do that.

The result was this tutorial: "How to Change the Default Icons in the Windows 7 Control Panel" by Brink: [link] . This tutorial does involve editing the registry and so is for the advanced computer user who knows how to do this safely. WARNING: Manually editing your registry can cause your computer not to work if you don't know what you are doing and if you do not know how to take precautions.
